You love to garden, but have problems with holding traditional tools or you cannot get down low to work in the soil (or get back up). Many people who love to homestead are doing so with some sort of disability. For me, I have CRPS in my right shoulder and arm. It is a nerve disorder that is slowly disintegrating my use of my arm. This means I cannot lift much with that arm/hand, and some days I cannot hold tools for long. So I modify.
